Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the reactivation of the 10th Mountain Division! On Feb. 13, 1985, at Fort Drum, New York, the 10th Mountain Division was reactivated, ushering in a new chapter of excellence in mountain warfare. As we commemorate this milestone, we also honor the deep-rooted history and legacy of our Mountain Soldiers, who continue to embody the spirit of resilience and pride. Equipped with specialized skills for operations in rugged terrain and cold climates, our Soldiers stand ready to face any challenge. From joint exercises to multinational collaborations in alpine environments, the 10th Mountain Division strengthens its capabilities while contributing to the military mountaineering community. Join us in saluting the dedication and commitment of our Mountain Soldiers, whose unwavering spirit continues to inspire us all. (U.S. Army Illustration by Sgt. Josiah Jenkins)
