    Arctic Edge 2024

    U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Edwin Cruzportillo, a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) operator with Fox Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, directs a HIMARS during joint-performance drills in support of exercise Arctic Edge 2024 at Fort Greely, Alaska, Feb. 18, 2024. These drills enhance collaboration, ensuring preparedness for challenges posed by the arctic conditions. The HIMARS demonstrates its capability by firing six guided missiles in quick succession. Arctic Edge 2024 (AE24) is a U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise demonstrating the U.S. military’s capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness, and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the arctic region.
