NHB/NMRTC Bremerton wrapped up a month-long recognition of February designated as Black History Month with a poster competition display on the quarterdeck and special meal – barbeque ribs, fried and baked chicken, shrimp jambalaya, black-eyed peas, fried okra, mac & cheese and pecan pie. Diversity Council members helped Terrace Dining Facility crew to serve hungry staff, patients and visitors. “We started prepping the food early. On a special meal like this, people get to enjoy a different variety from the normal meal plan,” said Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Jonathan Follero, assigned to the command’s Combined Food Operations division. “Seeing our patrons happy and enjoying the meal is what this is all about for us.” (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
