A Fair Winds and Following Seas Shoutout at NHB/NMRTC Bremerton
Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Jennifer A. McKenna was presented with the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal – gold start in lieu of second award – for meritorious service while serving as acting leading chief petty officer for Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command Bremerton Patient Administration, from February 2021 to March 2024. She led 42 staff members in over 1,100 suitability screenings, more than 2,580 patient registrations and approximately 90 deployments, resulting in operational readiness of 94.9 percent across 299 commands, as well as helped improve operational dental readiness from 92 percent to 96 percent through active communication. She also tracked over 900 patients, coordinated 21 medical evacuations, inspected 35 casualties, oversaw 126 burial-at-sea missions and submitted more than 150 personal casualty reports. McKenna also received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for her community involvement with a number of various organizations. Bravo Zulu!
