Vice Adm. John B. Mustin, Chief of Navy Reserve and Commander, Navy Reserve Force, and Rear Adm. Brad Dunham, Commander Naval Air Force Reserve, are given a tour by Perry Yaw, Business Development Lead for Boeing P8 Program, before taking delivery of the first new P-8A Poseidon for the Naval Air Force Reserve during a ceremony at Boeing Military Delivery Facility in Tukwila, Washington, March 6, 2024. This first delivery of the new P-8A Poseidon is a historic moment as it is the first purpose-built aircraft sent directly to the Navy Reserve’s defense architecture in its aggressive transformation as an elite warfighting organization. Our patrol aircraft deploy and operate globally in support of national defense priorities executing myriad missions ranging from supporting homeland defense (HLD), participating in exercises sustaining fleet readiness, and work alongside partner and allied nations maintaining proficiency and increasing interoperability.
