Joshua Wood, survey technician on the Missouri River at the Kansas City District US Army Corps of Engineers, supports the Hawai‘i Wildfires Recovery mission by serving as a quality assurance supervisor.
According to Wood, that job entails helping the quality assurance inspectors have all the tools, knowledge and information to do the best job they can do, to make this mission a success. He provides oversight of QAs and daily coordination with debris and cultural contractors in Lahaina, Hawai‘i.
"My favorite memory is the amazing people of Maui. Their strength. Their history. Their love for their island. Their ability to welcome 100s of strangers with open arms into their small community," said Wood.
