On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Capt. Blake Ruehrwein of the U.S. Army’s 353rd Civil Affairs Command, visited Yale Law School to lead an in-depth discussion on cultural heritage preservation in Ukrainian warzone. Civil Affairs soldiers, such as Ruehrwin, are experts in complex socio-political issues and serve as advisors to U.S. leaders as well as foreign nations. They are selected based on academic excellence and experiential credentials.
