OXON HILL, Md. (April 7, 2024) - Students fly balloons attached to 3-D rocket boosters to demonstrate Newton's Third Law of Motion during the Sea-Air-Space Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) expo at the Gaylord National Hotel and Conference Center, Sunday. The activity was hosted by the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) to connect young learners' proficiencies in STEM activities to elements of the real-world missions of commands like SSP. SSP is the Navy command that is responsible for the cradle-to-grave lifecycle of the submarine-launched ballistic missile system. (U.S. Navy Photo by Lt. Jennifer Bowman/Released)
