Military aircraft from several eras were on display at The Great Texas Airshow April 07, 2024, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Static displays give the community the opportunity to see inside some of the Air Force’s most impactful assets and talk to the service members who use and maintain them. The C-45 Expeditor made considerable contributions to military operational service in World War II and the Korean War. The C-45 was initially introduced to the civilian market, but once war broke out, its potential was realized and production began in large quantities. It was used in every branch of American service during WWII and Korea and remains one of the world’s most widely used light aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo by Brian G. Rhodes)
