CAPT Charles Varsogea, the Commanding Officer of the Naval Chaplaincy School, Newport, Rhode Island, opened its doors to the religious communities of Newport, Portsmouth, and Middleton. The goal was to help the chaplains on Naval Station Newport and the local civilian religious ministry professionals get acquainted with one another.
