Coast Guard Cutter Red Birch tends the Star Spangled Banner buoy. The buoy is so named as it marks the spot near Fort McHenry where Francis Scott Key viewed the British bombardment of the fort during the War of 1812. Key was actually aboard a vessel when he wrote what would become the national anthem.
