Connecticut Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Carrie Dufour, a UH-60 helicopter repairer assigned to Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation Regiment, stands in formation during a welcome home ceremony held inside the Governor William A. O’Neill Armory, Hartford, Connecticut, April 20, 2024. Dufour and her fellow maintainers provided critical support to keep the 142nd’s aircraft flying. By the end of the deployment, the unit’s 10 helicopters accumulated nearly 3,200 combat flight hours conducting troop movement missions, resupply missions, and medical evacuations throughout Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Kuwait. Additionally, Dufour was selected by Task Force Lexington to serve as the noncommissioned officer in charge for all enlisted 185th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade personnel in Baghdad.
