A judicious judicial welcoming…Vice Admiral Darse Crandall, Judge Advocate General of the Navy is greeted by Lt. Alexia Cain, JAG corps officer assigned to Naval Hospital Bremerton, May 7, 2024, for a familiarization visit as part of his whirlwind itinerary with Navy commands in the Pacific Northwest. Crandell also met with Mr. Louis Mielke, Disability Evaluation System counsel program attorney, and Jamie Swanson, assistant paralegal. As the 45th Navy Judge Advocate General, Crandall serves as the principal military legal counsel to the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations. He also leads the worldwide Navy JAG Corps community of approximately 2,500 attorneys, enlisted legalmen, and civilian employees, which also includes Ms. Marquita Hooks, NHB paralegal specialist (official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
