World War II Ranger, Pfc. John Wardell, returns to the cliffs of Normandy June 4, 2024, 80 years after his unit originally took them during the D-Day invasion. Wardell is the last living member of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, which accomplished the impossible mission of securing the cliffs of Point Du Hoc during Operation Overlord in 1944.
