U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, attach towing ropes to a combat rubber raiding craft during a boat sustainment training exercise at Naval Base White Beach, Okinawa, Japan, June 11, 2024. The training was conducted to rehearse CRRC tactics and procedures to increase Marines’ proficiency for upcoming boat raids. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
