KATTEGAT STRAIT (June 14, 2024) Sailors and Marines move stretchers from the flight deck to the flight deck staging area in preparation for a mass casualty exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), June 14, 2024, in the Kattegat Strait. Wasp is underway in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations in support of the exercise Baltic Operations 2024 (BALTOPS 24) as the flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC). The WSP ARG-24th MEU (SOC) support high-end warfighting exercises while demonstrating speed and agility operating in a dynamic security environment.
