Paul O’Brien, executive officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), observes a sea and anchor evolution from the pilot house as the ship prepares to leave Skagen, Denmark, June 14, 2024. Wasp is underway in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations in support of the exercise Baltic Operations 2024 (BALTOPS 24) as the flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC).
