Phil Compton, 8th CES incoming commander, during the 8th CES change of command ceremony at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, June 11, 2024. The Red Devil surfboard is a long-held tradition that symbolizes the board used by the first red devil to move his people across the sea to a new land called South Korea.
