Heavy rains, in excess of 5-7 inches and at least or greater than 600% of normal have falling in the past 24 hours in eastern South Dakota, northeastern Nebraska, and southeastern Iowa. The heavy rains are increasing runoff into the Missuori River basin with flooding forecast on several tributaries downstream of Gavins Point dam.
