U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) bid a fond farewell to Chief Warrant Officer 3 David Perry on June 20, 2024. Perry capped a 21-year Army career by serving as Officer in Charge of the Airborne Test Force since 2021. He had previously served here as an enlisted parachute rigger prior to completing Warrant Officer training in 2013.
Perry’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (1 Silver OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 Silver OLC), Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge, Military Free Fall Parachutist Jumpmaster Badge, and the Pathfinder Badge.
