Navy Captain Anthony Rush was Naval Hospital Cherry Point’s first commander. A Medical Corps Officer, Rush served as the Staff Medical Officer of the 2nd Marine Air Wing and Senior Medical officer of MCAS Cherry Point prior to assuming leadership of the hospital.
