PORTOFINO, Italy – View of the town of Portofino and its small port in the Ligurian Riviera. The village, settled during the Roman Empire, owes its name to two Latin words, Portus and Delphini, port and dolphin, since at the time a large population of dolphins inhabited the sea. After becoming a fishing village loved by artists, nowadays it is a resort renowned all around the world.
