The first day of Vacation Bible School made a splash at the Halo Chapel at Yuma Proving Ground (YPG).
This morning, nearly 50 eager children filled the chapel. This year’s theme is, “Scuba diving into friendship with God.”
During the opening service the children sang and learned the daily verse before heading down the elaborately decorated hall and into their classrooms.
Nearly 30 volunteers are lending a hand to YPG Chaplain Maj. Ryan Pearse, including Soldiers with the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers program and teens and adults from the YPG community.
