U.S. Navy amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), from the view of a UH-1Y Venom helicopter, sails in support of an en-route care exercise, off the coast of Okinawa, Japan, July 25, 2024. The exercise was conducted to evaluate U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy corpsmen on their ability to effectively evacuate the combat casualty to a higher echelon of care. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
