This true-color image from the modis.gsfc.nasa.gov Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor on the aqua.nasa.gov Aqua satellite shows scores of fires (red dots) burning across Madagascar, off the southeast coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. This image was captured on June 30, 2003.
