Staff Sgt. Lisa Cottnoff and U. S. Air Force Master Sgt. Nicholas Petchell from the 142nd Logistics Readiness Squadron peruse the salad bar attached to the newly acquired ESPEK (Expandable Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen) at Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore., on Aug. 3, 2024. The 142nd Force Support Squadron’s (FSS) ESPEK (Expandable Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen) enabled FSS Airmen to train on the new equipment by preparing lunch for wing guardsmen. Babington Technology invented the ESPEK, which allows for faster assembly time, thirty minutes by four people, and can sustain feeding 550 troops in a field environment.
