240808-N-EV253-1053 SAN DIEGO (Aug. 8, 2024) - Lt. Ryan McGee, an instructor pilot assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3, performs the National Anthem during HSC-3's change of command ceremony, held aboard Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, California, Aug. 8. During the ceremony, Cmdr. Ian Adams relieved Capt. Thomas Butts, and became the 47th commanding officer to lead the "Merlins" of HSC-3. HSC-3 is the Navy's west coast MH-60S fleet replacement squadron, responsible for training pilots and aircrewmen by providing the most capable warfighters to the fleet.
