Blaine Cruz (right), 521st Contingency Response Squadron tiltrotor maintenance craftsman, watches as a C-17 Globemaster III departs from a hub location during Exercise Bamboo Eagle 24-3 August 8 on Edwards Air Force Base, California. The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area.
