NORFOLK, Virginia (July 25, 2024) – Mid-Atlantic Region Motorcycle Training Program Manager, Fred McMullen, speaks with assembled local media representatives about the motorcycle safety courses his team provides, while showcasing one such course, hosted by his training team and Naval Safety Command, aboard Naval Station Norfolk, July 25. These courses are required for military personnel who intend on operating a motorcycle both on and off base and – while they are not required for civilian operation – attendance is heavily encouraged, as the information and practice received provides a solid foundation of proper operation and healthy caution of the risks inherent to motorcycle operation.
