U.S. Army Master Sgt. Roger E. Garcia, a senior master gunner assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Armored Division, speaks at the Fort Bliss Master Gunner Conference held at the Simulation Center, Fort Bliss, Texas, Aug. 6, 2024. The role of the master gunner is to advise commanders on everything related to vehicle platforms and weapon systems. Master gunners also develop training materials to conduct gunnery and live-fire exercises to ensure readiness and combat power within their organizations.
