ED10-0010-05 To honor the life work and vision of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Edwards Air Force Base and NASA Dryden Flight Research Center personnel, led by Air Force Flight Test Center commander Maj. Gen. David Eichhorn, joined in a march and celebration in Edwards' Chapel 1 on Thursday, Jan. 14. Centered on the theme of ''Remember! Celebrate! Act! A Day On, Not a Day Off!,'' the event encouraged Air Force and NASA personnel to participate in Martin Luther King Day of Service opportunities taking place in local communities over the weekend. A transformative figure who was able to unite a nation at a time of racial strife and divisiveness, Dr. King helped lay the groundwork for eliminating racial injustice in our country.
