The 2d Theater Signal Brigade shines on U.S. Army Cpl. Austin Damm, SNN Operator, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced.
Corporal Damm was instrumental during key platoon training exercises building up to node validations. He leveraged his RHN experience, and routing & switching expertise to assist in identifying and troubleshooting several teams’ route patterns within their baseband equipment, enabling them to validate their equipment in preparation for increasingly complex training and upcoming validations.
Additionally, he serves as the company’s primary barracks NCO – traditionally a role reserved for an E5 or E6. Corporal Damm assists incoming Soldiers by providing a barracks room and working closely with DPW to remedy work orders and routine maintenance. (U.S. Army photo graphic by Candy Knight)
