Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center commander, addresses members during the Senior Materiel Leader summit at the University of Dayton Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio, Aug. 27, 2024.
Shipton spoke of the Great Power Competition and highlighted the proposed new structure of Air Force Materiel Command. She also discussed the future role of AFLCMC, which will become the Air Force Air Dominance Systems Center.
National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee (2022) referee Esfandiar “Esse” Baharmast provided a motivational speech during the Summit. He spoke of his life and move from Iran to America for college and his career as a professional soccer referee. Baharmast also discussed leadership and how advancements in technology have aided him over his long career. After his formal remarks, Baharmast took questions from attendees.
