The deputy commander of the Furat local Iraqi police station greets local religious leaders April 29 at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Furat station in Baghdad. The station consists of more than 400 Iraqi policemen, who police the Furat and Jihad neighborhoods. The police force provides an increase in security in the area and is part of the Iraqi expansion plan to incorporate more police on the ground in the city to protect its citizens.
