Cadet Mintiney Pham with the University of New Hampshire Army ROTC fires an M17 pistol during the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (GAFPB) on September 7, 2024, at the Regional Training Site in Center Strafford, N.H. Over the course of three days, badge contenders completed a swim test, fitness assessment, marksmanship qualification and foot march. The German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency or, in German, “Das Abzeichen für Leistungen im Truppendienst” is a decoration of the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany.
