Commitment recognized…in conjunction with National Housekeeping Week [Sept. 8-14, 2024], Naval Hospital Bremerton readily acknowledged the dedicated Skookum team for their exemplary effort in ensuring daily cleanliness, hygiene, sanitizing and infection control measures are in place to help keep staff, patient and visitor safe. The housekeeping team is deployed in various shifts throughout the day, around the clock, for the entire week, throughout the year. Also known as Environmental Services Week, the theme this year, ‘Housekeeping: Everything You Touch Turns to AWESOME’ was touched upon by Cmdr. Carolyn Ellison, NHB acting executive officer in addressing the Skookum team. “We could not do our jobs with you. I see several of you daily, helping keep our hospital the best it can be. Thank you for all you do,” shared Ellison.
