U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Andrew C. Gainey, commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), welcomes participants to the 2024 African Land Forces Colloquium (ALFC) hosted by SETAF-AF at Padova, Italy, Sept. 10, 2024. ALFC 2024 brings military and civilian experts together to discuss “Integrated Approaches to Regional Security in Africa.” ALFC is an annual forum, planned and executed by SETAF-AF, for senior leaders from land forces across Africa, the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of State, and other partners to solidify relationships, exchange information, and encourage cooperation in addressing challenges.
