Thai community residents and U.S. Marines apply stucco Feb. 6 during construction of a new building at Ban Kuad Nam Man School, Chat Trakarn District, Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand. The community has taken an active role in the five ongoing engineering civic assistance projects during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 by providing food and limited manual labor. Exercise Cobra Gold includes humanitarian and civic assistance projects, a staff exercise and field training exercises. Joint and multinational training is vital to maintaining the readiness and interoperability of all participating military forces. U.S. Marines are with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
