U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Christa A. Draggie, sitting, digs into a Thai meal prepared by Pattarin Patumchartsankan during lunch at Ban Kao Rai Sriracha School, Wat Bot District, Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 8. The community has taken an active role in the five ongoing engineering civic assistance projects during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 by providing food and limited manual labor. Exercise Cobra Gold is the largest multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region and provides Thailand, the U.S., Singapore, Japan, Republic of Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia an opportunity to maintain relationships and enhance interoperability. Patumchartsankan is a teacher at the school. Draggie is the officer in charge of the project site and assigned to the Washington National Guard’s 176th Engineer Company (Vertical).
