Members of the Joint Commercial Operations cell host Australian Army Maj Gen Paul Kenny, Deputy Theatre Commander of the Australian Defence Force, AUS Air Force Wing Commander Rex Harrison, Australian Defence Space Command liaison officer, and Lt. Commander Nicholas Graney of the Royal Australian Navy for a familiarization visit at the Catalyst Campus in Colorado Springs, Colo. Sept. 10, 2024. The visit consisted of a tour of the operations floor, review of mission sets, space operations tools, and commercial data integration into Joint, Multi-national and DoD space operations. The JCO uses a “buy” and “exploit” model to capitalize on current, relevant non-classified data from a variety of commercial companies that better enables space operators to receive real-time warning and indications.
