    505th Command and Control Wing

U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin, left, listens to Lt. Col. Michael Power, 505th Combat Training Squadron commander, brief how the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center’s exercise Bamboo Eagle incorporated a fully-resourced air operations center and Air Force forces battle staff into the exercise, placing wing commander’s and their command and control force elements into a realistic combat environment to prepare them for competition with a peer adversary at the Shadow Operations Center, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, Aug. 5, 2024. Exercise Bamboo Eagle 24-3 executed live-fly operations in the eastern Pacific and a simultaneous 24-hour live, virtual, and constructive rolling scenario, tackling issues involving distributed command and control, communications degradation, logistics and sustainment challenges, and tyranny of distance.
