The family of Lt. Ralph Eugene Foulks Jr. who was a Navy pilot during the Vietnam War, placed a bronze rosette next to Lt. Foulks’ name on the Navy Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific to symbolize the recovery and identification of his remains. This photo of Lt. Foulks’ family is featured in support of National POW/MIA Recognition Day on Sept. 20, 2024, which is observed nationally and globally on the third Friday of September. The observance was hosted by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) to remember American service members who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing and unaccounted for. In the photo, Lt. Foulks’ family stands from left to right: Patricia Foulks-Sutter, Lt. Foulks’ sister; Colleen Ijuin, Lt. Foulks’ sister; Sharon Sadowski, Lt.
