St. Charles Parish President, Matthew Jewell, Emergency Preparedness Director, Jason Tastet, and Public Works Senior Projects Manager, Sam Scholle, receive a tour from USACE New Orleans District personnel of West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project site 101a, a stretch of levee currently being built in St. Charles Parish, to get a first-hand look at the progress being on this portion of the project. The contract is currently around 49% complete and construction is expected to be complete in January 2026.
