U.S. Air Force aircraft maintainers from the 127th Air Refueling Group, Michigan Air National Guard, prepare a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft for flight at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) in Romulus, Michigan, on Sept. 30, 2024. A rotating group of nearly 100 Airmen from the 127th Air Refueling Group and personnel from the 127th Mission Support Group temporarily shifted KC-135 flying operations to Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport (formerly K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base) and DTW while Selfridge Air National Guard Base undertook routine flight-line maintenance and resurfacing. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Andrew Schumann)
