U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Bruce Hedrick, 127th Wing command chief, and Mr. Duane Duray, director of Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport, meet to discuss the success of the temporary KC-135 relocation mission at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport in Gwinn, Michigan, on Oct. 1, 2024. A rotating group of nearly 100 Airmen from the 127th Air Refueling Group and personnel from the 127th Mission Support Group temporarily shifted KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft flying operations to Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport (formerly K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base) and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Romulus, Michigan, while Selfridge Air National Guard Base undertook routine flight-line maintenance and resurfacing.
