Petty Officer 1st Class Heather Strow, center, learns of her selection as the Pacific Fleet Shore Sailor of the Year, during a recognition luncheon April 17 in Honolulu. Strow, assigned to commander, U.S. Third Fleet, competed against thousands of shore-based Sailors throughout the U.S. Pacific Fleet area of responsibility. The announcement culminated a week of personal and professional evaluations as well as leadership, naval heritage and team-building events throughout historic Pearl Harbor.
