Carrie J. Belleson, a chiropractor at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, attends the 2024 Paris Olympics. Belleson has been part of the medical staff for USA Olympic teams, including USA Swimming and USA Fencing, since 2019. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, the USA Swimming Team she provided care won a silver medal, two gold medals, and set two new world records. When she is not traveling the world providing chiropractic care for Olympic athletes, Belleson spends her time treating Marines and Sailors at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms. Marines and Sailors strive to maintain a state of readiness, which includes taking care of their musculoskeletal health. Belleson typically treats cases of spinal pain when working with active-duty service members. The physical demand on service members at MCAGCC Twentynine Palms can be very high, as it serves as a major training facility for the United States military. Belleson's goal is to help return the active service member to full duty and back to their role to stay in the fight (Courtesy photo, NHTP/NMRTC Twentynine Palms).
