Steven Lewis, a civil works planner for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, provided an overview of the agency's role in water resource management and highlighted relevant projects and initiatives relevant to the Gullah/Geechee community during the Listening Session in Savannah, Georgia, Oct. 17, 2024. Lewis described the Corps’ three civil works programs of Flood Plain Management Service, Planning Assistance to States, and Continuing Authorities Program.
