SKAGEN, Denmark (Oct. 29, 2024) Fire Controlman (AEGIS) 3rd Class David Hudson, a native of Cairo, Georgia, greases a missile canister gasket before it is loaded onto the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64) in Skagen, Denmark, during an ammunition transfer evolution with Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 10 and the Royal Danish Navy as part of the NATO-led maritime vigilance activity Neptune Strike 24-2, Oct. 29. NEST 24-2 is the natural evolution of NATO’s ability to integrate the high-end maritime and expeditionary strike capabilities of aircraft carrier strike groups to defend and protect Allied nations’ security, peace, and the rules-based international order.
