Three F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter jets assigned to the 119th Fighter Squadron, with the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing, return to base in formation during Operation Pegasus Dawn at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Oct. 21, 2024. The procedure was a part of Operation Pegasus Dawn, an Agile Combat Employment training mission designed to support the 108th Wing’s transition from KC-135 Stratotanker refueler aircraft to the newer KC-46 Pegasus model. The operation also consisted of providing fuel to four F-16Cs from the 177th FW to cross the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a mixture of Offensive Counter-Air and Defensive Counter-Air training missions.
